A destination wedding of two hunters in the woods they love the most.

Chance proposed to Meagan from a deer stand. They hunt a LOT together, which you wouldn't guess looking at Meagan. She has a petite, delicate beauty, but she's not afraid to shoot a gun and tromp around the woods in boots. Their wedding was themed around hunting.

Meagan and Chance had the opportunity to get married at a beautiful, creekside lodge owned by a family member- wayyyy out in the middle of nowhere near Woodville, Mississippi.

The first thing I saw when I drove up to Meagan and Chance's venue was his mom and a couple other girls on a 4-wheeler. Throughout the evening, I also saw a 4x4 van, a loose cow, and a large rattlesnake on the road. This wedding was in the country for sure.
This cow got loose on the road between the guys and the girls' getting ready location.

Yes, they left in this.

The ceremony, which was quite non-traditional, was held in a second spot on the creek. Instead of using the creek as the backdrop, though, Meagan and Chance decided to use the dirt and tree root bank as a backdrop for the sunset ceremony. Guests were seated on hay bales covered with blankets on the flat plateau along the creek dropoff.

The location was stupendous, but then on top of all that, Chance's mother owns a wedding rentals business, and she pulled out all the best for this wedding. There were antlers, beautiful table pieces, unique wooden chairs, rustic serving furniture, and more - all arranged in a circle around the dance floor, topped with globe lights draping over.

Meagan didn't have a lot of time to do a bridal portrait session before the wedding, so we did one before the ceremony around the property. This is where I saw her fearless woods presence take over.

The officiant was a friend of the family, and his outfit was an inside joke in the family. His "bible" held a flask, and his glove is a Michael Jackson knockoff.

Chance has an identical twin brother, Chase, and Chase jokingly told me that when Meagan married Chance, she married both of them.

This crowd included some great dancers, but Meagan's dad took the award for best dancer!

Venue: private, Woodville, Mississippi
