Sarah and Neal are some of the bravest subjects that I've ever photographed! It was REALLY cold last Saturday when we did their engagement portraits, and they were such troopers to go out and look beautiful! The barn gave us a reprieve from the cold, Rouchelle provided the entertainment, and the cows were our spectators. Neal was so energetic, despite the cold! Toward the end of the photo shoot, Thao and I realized that they finish each other's sentences from time to time. I can't even do that with my husband now, after being married three years! I look forward to seeing what these two can accomplish with such understanding of each other.
When I met Sarah, I couldn't help but think how much she resembles my dear college roommate, Laura, and my mind wandered over many old-ish memories. Laura and I met our freshman year one morning over breakfast in the Southern Arkansas University cafeteria. We talked about underwear that day and were friends from then on. We roomed together for 3.5 of 4 years, and I couldn't have asked for a better co-inhabitant, listener, encourager, or friend. The poor girl kept up with all of the different guys that I rotated through, heard all the complaints about the difficulties of Organic Chemistry, put up with my Cross Canadian Ragweed listening habits in the morning, and was there for me when I didn't know what to do after college.
She now lives with her husband, Drey, and daughter, Shelby, in Lake Charles, LA. We talk on the phone every once in a while, but have sadly only seen each other once in the past three years. We do miss each other. We vowed years ago to be neighbors one day and to play cards together in our free time. I look forward to that day.

Sara is my sister. I think she's a GREAT model! Here is a preview of our fashion shoot that we did at a vineyard in Fredericksburg. Actually, most of them were at a vineyard, but some were on the side of the road....
Notice the awesome makeup! My wonderful makeup artist friend, Rouchelle, did Sara's makeup for this shoot.

Can I tell you, I am so excited to do Christi and Aaron's wedding here in Marble Falls in April!! She's super fun, and they're supposedly doing (from what I understand) a "Czeck" ceremonial parade entrance at the wedding. Not to mention that Christi is a BEAUTIFUL bride! Here are some of her bridals that we did in Marble Falls. Christi actually has the same boots as me!! No peeking, Aaron....
